Why embed a HarvestMath calculator?
If you write about gardening, run a nursery or landscaping site, or maintain resources for a university extension office, these tools are built to hand your readers real, working math instead of a static chart they have to do the arithmetic on themselves. A mulch calculator embedded directly in a “how much mulch do I need” post lets someone plug in their bed dimensions and get an answer without leaving your page — that’s a better reader experience than linking out, and it’s free to set up.
Every widget is self-contained: it loads in an iframe, carries its own styling, and doesn’t pull in ads or trackers. Under the calculator sit two things from us: one button to try the HarvestMath app that goes with it (it opens in a new tab, so your page stays put), and a small “Powered by HarvestMath” link back to the full calculator page. No popups, no overlays, no email forms.
License — what you can and can’t do
- Free to embed on any site, personal or commercial, at any traffic level. No permission needed, no application, no approval process — copy the snippet and go.
- Attribution required. Leave the “Powered by HarvestMath” link in the widget as provided. Don’t hide it with CSS, cover it, or strip it from the snippet.
- No reselling the widget itself — you can embed it on a site you charge visitors or clients to access, but you can’t repackage the calculator itself as your own paid product.
- We may update calculators (formula corrections, UI changes) without notice. The embed always reflects the current, corrected version, which is a feature, not a bug — you never end up serving readers an outdated formula.
That’s the whole license. If you have a use case that doesn’t obviously fit the above, get in touch.
How it works
Each calculator below has its own ready-to-paste snippet: a standard <iframe> tag with a sensible default height and a small attribution line underneath it, plus an optional auto-resize script so the widget expands or shrinks to fit its content instead of scrolling inside a fixed box. Paste the whole snippet wherever you want the calculator to appear; the resize script can go anywhere on the same page (once is enough, even with multiple widgets).
